# Renault odrestaurowało legendarny samolot z lat 30.

Renault zakończyło renowację wyjątkowego samolotu Caudron Rafale C.460. To historyczna maszyna wyścigowa z lat 30., która po raz pierwszy od ponad dziewięciu dekad ponownie wzbiła się w powietrze.

Caudron Rafale C.460 był jednym z najbardziej niezwykłych projektów lotniczych swojej epoki. W pierwszej połowie lat 30. Renault oraz Caudron zbudowały zaledwie sześć egzemplarzy tego lekkiego samolotu przeznaczonego do zawodów lotniczych i prób bicia rekordów prędkości.

Maszyna zapisała się w historii dzięki francuskiej pilotce Hélène Boucher. W 1934 roku samolot wyposażony w silnik Renault osiągnął średnią prędkość 505,85 km/h na dystansie trzech kilometrów, ustanawiając rekord w swojej klasie.

Proces odbudowy historycznego egzemplarza rozpoczął się w lipcu 2024 roku przy współpracy ze specjalistami z firmy Aero Restauration Service z Dijon. Prace obejmowały całkowity demontaż konstrukcji, wzmocnienie podwozia, modernizację jednostki napędowej oraz liczne testy naziemne i lotnicze.

Renault zapowiedziało, że odrestaurowany samolot będzie przez pewien czas prezentowany podczas pokazów lotniczych. Docelowo maszyna ma trafić do nowego muzeum technicznego marki, którego otwarcie planowane jest na 2027 rok.
